The Dave Wickins Drum Bursary

Dave Wickins ran our summer school for over 30 years.

He was a great jazz drummer, educator and friend to many of us.

Sadly he passed away in 2019 and to honour his memory we are offering

The Dave Wickins Memorial Drum Bursary. 

 

This bursary has been made possible by the generous donation of an individual sponsor,

to whom we are very grateful. 

 

We are able to offer a 50% discount on tuition fees to any drummer aged 16-20, who would otherwise not be able to attend summer school for financial reasons. 

 

Bursary applications must include the following: 

 

1: A written statement from the applicant explaining how this bursary would benefit them and giving details of any music colleges they are attending or are applying for. 

 

2: A signed declaration from their parents stating the combined household income and proof of any benefits they are on. 

 

Benefits are not a requirement, but priority will be given to low-income households. All applications will be considered on an individual, case-by-case basis.
